How far in advance do I need to book?

For family, maternity, and newborn sessions  two-three weeks is a good buffer for weather and availability. For weddings please email as soon as possible as summer dates fill up quickly.

Do you take a deposit?

Yes, a 50% retainer to due to book your session and hold your date. The balance is due two days prior to our session.

What should I wear?

This is the question I get asked the most so I've created a complete client guide that walks you through exactly how to dress you and/or your family. I'm also here to help you select your exact outfits. Show me what you're working with and I can help you decide.

What if it rains?

Living in Campbell River we get our fair share of rain. I love to embrace the weather but if it's storming or your littles won't enjoy we can easily reschedule.

How long until I receive my photos?

Within a few days you will see a sneak peak posted to my instagram. Your full gallery will be delivered within three weeks. 

For weddings your gallery will be delivered within four to six weeks.

Do I get the copyright to my photos?

Copyright always remains with the photographer but you receive a curated collection of high-resolution jpegs from your session. RAW files are never provided. This allows you to share, print, and use your photos for personal use.

What if we've never had professional photos and are awkward?

Everyone is! Even me. When I had my headshots done I felt a little awkward but after a few minutes you start to get the hang of it. I'll be there to guide you and help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. By the end you'll feel like a pro.

When is the best time for photos? 

Golden Hour (1 hour before sunset) is really -  the golden hour. This is the time when the light makes everything soft and dreamy. Even if you have small children pack their jammies in the car and let's watch the sun set together. I promise it will be worth it.

How do we pick a location?

Location selection is done based on your family. We collaborate on a location that feels fun, fresh, and exciting for you and your family. I also provide a few options in my client guide.

What if we need to reschedule?

I understand that life happens I just ask that you provide me with as much notice as possible.

Do you travel?

YES! Anywhere, anytime! I have a wanderlust heart and it begs to adventure. Travel fees are quoted by request.
